About The Philtheist

If a philanthropist is literally a “lover of people”,
and an atheist is literally claiming “no God”,
I reckon I’m a philtheist: a lover of God!

It’s said to be improper to talk about money, politics or religion, so maybe the name “Philtheist” is also a play on words, as these are my musings on life, business, politics and spirituality.  Love ‘em or disagree passionately with me, I’m just happy we’re talking about the tough topics. :-)

Jewish rabbis used to (and may still) say, “If we meet tonight and talk for two hours about God, and get most of it wrong, He’ll just be pleased we were talking about Him.”  I love that.  Sometimes in the noble search for Truth we are too sure that we’ve found it.  Questions are more important than answers, and the journey more important than the destination.

Stay a while, see if anything I write makes you feel mad or inspired, and then have your say as well.  I don’t necessarily claim these posts to be inviolable truths (unless they’re Biblical), just insights from my journey.
